Rabbit Services

Our team provides veterinary care to rabbits to ensure they remain happy and healthy.

Rabbits need special care to ensure they remain healthy and happy. In addition to your love, rabbits need a clean living environment, proper food, toys for stimulation, and wellness exams. It’s also important to be aware of the signs of illness to book your pet for more frequent visits if necessary.

How do I know if my rabbit is healthy?

Taking care of any pet requires a great deal of time and effort. When caring for your rabbit, it’s important to observe their daily mannerisms so you can get to know your pet’s temperament. This can help you identify when they’re acting out of character, which could be a sign of illness. Healthy rabbits are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, with any of the following characteristics:

  • Engaging actively with pet parents
  • Eating regularly, usually around the same times each day
  • Twitching nose
  • Strong teeth
  • Healthy coat

When should my pet have veterinary visits?

We recommend seeing rabbits at least twice per year for their wellness exam. During these appointments, we’ll do a comprehensive health checkup, including assessing their ears, eyes, teeth, and fur. We’ll also perform diagnostic tests like bloodwork or fecal analysis. Rabbits often hide their symptoms of illness, so it’s essential to book an appointment at 204-346-1429 if you notice any sudden changes in your pet, including:

  • Wet nose
  • Loss of appetite
  • Runny eyes
  • Lethargy
  • Constant drooling
